It’s Time to Get Your AC on Track

Monday, August 17th, 2020 at 11:00 am

Summer is quickly ending. If your air conditioner hasn’t been keeping up with your air conditioning needs in the past few months, then it’s time for you to schedule an appointment with us. We specialize in AC repair in Melbourne, FL. We know that it might be tempting to just “ride it out.” Summer is going to be over in a few weeks, anyway, right?

Wrong! Did you forget that you live in Florida? Summer will officially end soon, but that summer feeling is going to last a bit longer. You’re going to need our air conditioner. Make sure that you have professional service that’s ready to keep you cool for a little while longer.

Yes, These Are AC Problems

We know that it’s easy to reason away problems. You just think that it’s a minor problem, but you can ride it out until the summer is over, right? Wrong. This is how you end up suffering from a breakdown when you need your air conditioner most. Note these problems and contact us when you notice them:

Short Cycling

“Short cycling” is the term we use to describe inefficient air conditioning operation. Specifically, short cycling is when your air conditioner turns on, runs for a little while, stops short, pauses, and then starts up again soon after.

You might have noticed short cycling, but it is one of those weird occurrences that homeowners brush off. It makes it harder for your home to get cool, but it doesn’t make it impossible. You shouldn’t struggle to cool your home though! Call us when you have an issue.

High Energy Bills

If you haven’t changed anything about how you run your air conditioner, but your energy bills have been through the roof this summer, you’re going to need to call us. High energy bills are a symptom of an inefficient air conditioning system.

Low Airflow

Have you noticed that your home’s airflow has taken a nosedive? You might not notice this right off that bat. What you might notice is that it takes significantly longer for you to cool off your home. If you have low airflow, you’re going to need to schedule an appointment with us. There’s some type of problem lurking within your ductwork and we’re going to be the ones to find it and weed it out.

Insufficient Cooling

Have you noticed that you’re never cool enough in your home anymore? Insufficient cooling is a problem. We know that it’s hot here, but you should be able to have an air conditioner that can handle the heat.

Odd Sounds

Have you noticed any of the following sounds?

  • Rattling
  • Banging
  • Scraping
  • Squeaking
  • Squealing

All of these problems are a bad sign. Certain noises indicate different issues. For example, banging often indicates a loose part or a bad compressor depending on how loud the noise is. We’re fluent in AC sounds on our team. Call us when you need someone to do the work for you.
